Experience golf throughout the winter months at East Sussex National with our purpose-built Winter Par 3 Course. Designed specifically to provide an enjoyable and high-quality alternative when wet ground conditions restrict access to the main courses, this layout ensures great golf without compromise, even in the heart of winter.

The par 3 course was originally designed to be played during the winter months when wet ground conditions restrict the use of trolleys and buggies and can cause course closures. Each tee is built alongside the newly tarmacked cart paths and can be played using the Club’s fleet of buggies.

Every hole offers a unique challenge, with distances ranging from 107 yards to 154 yards into main greens. These are protected by water features, bunkers and undulating contours, and there are no temporary or target greens at East Sussex National.

A round of golf can be played in approximately 2 to 3 hours, with the opportunity to stop at our fantastic halfway house for refreshments. The course is not designed as a substitute for normal play, but as an alternative to course closures and, for most players, an enjoyable form of winter golf.
